At our workshop, wood is more than a material. It carries history, character, and a deep connection to the landscapes that surround us. Every piece we make is shaped by that relationship — with the grain, with the forest it came from, and with the responsibility that comes with working in timber.
That’s why we’re proud to introduce a new initiative: for every order made, we will fund the planting of one native tree in Scotland, in partnership with Trees for Life.
Why Trees Matter to What We Do
As a bespoke furniture maker, our work begins long before the first cut is made. It starts in woodlands — places that take decades, sometimes centuries, to form. Native forests support biodiversity, improve soil and water quality, and create resilient landscapes that benefit generations to come.
Scotland’s ancient woodlands are among the most depleted in Europe. Restoring them is not a quick fix, but a long-term commitment — one that aligns closely with how we approach furniture making: slowly, carefully, and with the future in mind.
Why We Chose Trees for Life
Trees for Life is a Scottish conservation charity dedicated to rewilding the Highlands and restoring native woodland ecosystems. Their work goes beyond planting trees — it focuses on rebuilding whole habitats, supporting wildlife, and allowing nature to recover in a meaningful way.
Partnering with Trees for Life allows us to support restoration projects that are:
- Based in Scotland
- Focused on native species
- Designed for long-term ecological health
It felt like a natural fit for our values and our craft.
One Tree for Every Order Made
From now on, every finished furniture order we create — whether tables, chairs, cabinets, or commissions — will fund the planting of one native tree through Trees for Life.
This isn’t about offsetting or making bold environmental claims. It’s about taking responsibility, acknowledging where our materials come from, and contributing in a practical, transparent way to the landscapes that inspire our work.
Each customer will be supporting this initiative simply by choosing to invest in well-made, long-lasting furniture.
Looking Ahead
We see this as a starting point, not an endpoint. As our workshop grows, so will our contribution. Over time, we’ll be sharing updates on the number of trees funded and the projects they support.
By choosing furniture made with care — and made to last — you’re also helping to support the restoration of Scotland’s native forests.
Thank you for being part of that journey.
